EMH Plant have supported a local fund raising event at Lambton Park, 'The Lambton Team Shoot'. A clay pigeon shooting day in support of the Great North Air Ambulance.
One of the organisers said 'For 2026 we will again be supporting the Great North Air Ambulance Service. We are proud to say that we have been contributing to the operating of this remarkable organisation, which is self funding, for over 10 years. We are all aware of the amazing work this dedicated team and here at Lambton we have experienced first hand their commitment, professionalism and speed in life saving situations.
In 2026, they launched their major Capital Appeal: Operation SOS. Their iconic aircraft has enabled thousands of live-saving missions, but they are now reaching the end of their operational lifespan. To meet the growing demand and continue delivering world-class critical care, they have developed plans for a stronger, more resilient future. This includes investing in three state of the art helicopters to enhance their capability, improve clinical outcomes and ensure they can reach even more people in the future. We will also be supporting Wearside Women in Need, a charity who offers a specialist domestic abuse service. They provide a wide range of direct services to address the needs of adults, children, family members, friends and communities. They support student placements to gain experience, provide training to practitioners, and facilitate learning through groups and community events. Their fantastic work serves a population of almost 350,000, offering confidential support to talk about individual situations and discuss the options available.
